The BizTechPro app is for employees of BizTechPro’s customers. When a BizTechPro technician needs to confirm who they’re speaking to, the person approves the request in the app. The app is from BizTechPro, Inc., 1 Blue Hill Plaza, Lobby Suite 1509, Pearl River, NY 10965. BizTechPro’s website privacy policy doesn’t apply to data from this app; this policy does.
1. What the app collects
When you set the app up and use it, BizTechPro receives:
- Who you are: your name, company and work email address, from BizTechPro’s records.
- Your sign-in: if your company uses Microsoft or Google sign-in, the account identifiers from that sign-in, which are checked against BizTechPro’s records.
- Your mobile number: only if your company uses text-message codes.
- Your phone: its platform, model and app version, an address for sending it notifications, and the public half of two security keys.
- Your answers: each request sent to you, how you answered it, and when.
- Security records: the internet address used during setup, and logs of setup and disconnection.
2. What stays on your phone
The private half of the app’s two security keys is made on your phone and never leaves it. Your fingerprint, face or passcode is checked by your phone. The app and BizTechPro never see them. Your name and company are kept in your phone’s secure storage while the app is set up.
3. How we use it
We use this data to confirm your identity to BizTechPro, send you verification requests and show the results, keep your setup working, and keep security records. We don’t sell it, and we don’t use it for marketing or advertising. The app contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting code.
4. Who receives it
- BizTechPro staff with permission to use BTP Verify.
- Service providers who work for us: our ticketing system, the hosting provider for BTP Tools, and our email and text-message services.
- Google, through Firebase, which delivers notifications to your phone and confirms that requests come from a genuine copy of the app.
- Microsoft or Google, if your company signs in with them. Their own privacy policies cover that sign-in.
- Others, if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
- Invite links and setup codes are deleted 30 days after they’re used or expire.
- Verification records and security logs have no automatic deletion date.
- When a phone is disconnected, its notification address is cleared and it’s marked as disconnected. BizTechPro keeps the record that it was connected.
6. How it’s protected
The app sends your setup details and answers to BizTechPro’s BTP Tools service over HTTPS. Every answer you give is signed by a security key held in your phone’s secure hardware.
7. Your choices
- Disconnect your phone at any time in the app, under Settings. That deletes the keys and your setup from your phone, and tells BizTechPro the phone is disconnected. Uninstalling the app removes it from your phone, but doesn’t tell BizTechPro, so disconnect first.
- See, correct or delete your data: contact us at biztechpro.net/contact or (845) 747-5803. We respond within 30 days. We may keep some records for security or legal reasons, and we’ll tell you if we do.
8. Children
This app is for employees of BizTechPro’s customers. It isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We post changes on this page and update the date at the top.
